The separation of stalk, fibre and fluff from made tea has been one of the most challenging problems to tea manufacturing

The invention of this machine has effectively met this challenge and the separation process no longer poses a problem.

This machine is the outcome of extensive research carried out over a period of more than 50 years by us as pioneers in the field of electrical separation.

With the Electrostatic Stalk Extractor the process of extraction is handled solely by the machine. It is equipped with three sets of brushless charge rollers that are evenly charged at all pionts. This creates a selective extraction thereby ensuring the quality of the tea and retaining genuine blackness. The tea is conveyed to the electrostatic field and the machine takes advantage of the stalks higher percentage of moisture to cause it to be more attracted to the charge roll. According to the size of tea been fed the position of the charge roll can be raised or lowered by adjusting the field gap control, thereby providing a better control over the separation process. While the stalk and fibre are being attracted, the separator plate can be adjusted both horizontally and vertically to take on a maximum amount of stalk, fibre and fluff. Finally the separated teas will fall to the bottom of the machine. The capacity of the machine is in the range of 200-600 Kg of made tea per hour.
